If it drops to zero it is the stepper motor in the cluster. If it drops down several degrees then it is the thermostat and will eventually make the check engine light stay on. you will experience poor fuel economy due to the computer loading the engine up with fuel thinking you are in warm-up mode.
We have lots of info at our enthusiasts forum at www.trailvoy.com
Speedometer, fuel gauge, and temperature gauge.
If the RPM gauge drops to zero while driving, it typically indicates that the engine is stalling or has shut off, which could be due to several issues such as fuel supply problems, ignition system failures, or electrical issues. Another possibility is a malfunctioning RPM gauge or sensor. It's important to check for warning lights on the dashboard and address any potential mechanical issues promptly to avoid further damage.
You have slowed down.
Usually the gauge in on the dashboard with all the other gauges. That way you can read it while driving.
it might be a safety thing
It's really hard to understand what you're asking here."What causes a knocking sound when your car drops into a hole while driving?"If that's your question, I imagine that it would be the sound of your car dropping into a hole.
Could be low tire pressure or bad end links. Hope you are asking about a Chevy Trailblazer!
It depends on the setpoint of the thermostat.
Your fuel sensor inside the tank is shot. Change it.
If its totally dead (no radio, no starter) I would first look at your alternator/battery. This happened to my 2003 Trailblazer, and we had to replace the serpentine belt and the alternator. Battery light came on while driving and within ten minutes, the car was dead.
while driving the rpm gauge work perfect, when start accelerating the rpm can not exceed 3 with interruption in the engine
