All 2002 & newer GMC & Chevy trucks & SUV's have speedo clusters that will fail between 90-120k. There is not recall for this (should be), but there is a class-action lawsuit that will get yours repaired if you have less than 100k (GM says that they are designed to last the life of the vehicle, so I guess this means that GM only builds there cars to last 100k?? BS) Just GM's way to not recall the problem. Maybe people will remember this the next time they shop for a vehicle. (looks that way, can you say bail-out?) Diggging their own hole. Will cost you $400-$500 to get repaired.
my alarm does not work 2004 envoy
I had the same problem with my 02 Envoy. Check to make sure contacts inside the sockets are intact. I had to replace both of mine. Contact were corroded and rusted out.
If the headlights on the 2004 GMC Envoy are not working, there could be a loose connection somewhere. If all of the other lights are working, it is most likely not a fuse that has blown. Double check the wiring to see if there is a loose connection.
get fan clutch checked may be blowing air but not enough
Press and hold the Power I/O button and this should resolve the issue
Its your relay switch... change it out and it should work..
There are several things that can cause your GMC Envoy dim lights not to work. The most common cause is a blown fuse. A loose or corroded ground wire can also cause a problem.
I have a 2004 Envoy with the same problem, i put it in neutral, not park and switched it one mode at a time and it worked for me. Otherwise you can try and disconnecting the negative cable on the battery to try and reset the switch gear control module...if these don't work, it may be off to the shop.... check the owners manual, has some language in it about this.
You will need to allow the seat belt to retract completely, and if this does not work there is a problem with the actuater and you will need to take it in for service.
first look at your fuse box in the engine, it is located on the drivers side. there are 2 covers on a 2004 gmc envoy take them both off to reveal the fuses. underneath the cap of the fuse box you will find the fuse diagram. look for the fuse number (location) on the diagram. take out the fuse and check if the metal on the inside of the fuse is melted or broken. replace the fuse if it is. check lights if they work you have solved your problem if not it is something needing more attention.
You don't. Take it to a dealer. It is dangerous to work on the air bag system. This is not a DIY project. The light staying on indicates there is a problem with the system.
Two comom reasons 1) bulbs are burned out 2) wiring harness has burned out. unfortunatly a common failure on these trucks. See if the wires are melted or crispy. This also pops the fuse. www.trailvoy.com All the answers about the Envoy /Trailblazer platform trucks!
