it's located in the fuel tank on the fuel pump
For the fuel gauge? In the gas tank on the fuel pump.
you will need to replace the fuel sensor and it is all in one with the fuel pump its in the gas tank.
There is no relay for the fuel gauge. It is powered directly off the ignition switch. The fuel pump relay is behind the driver in the engine compartment on the fire wall just forward of the air cleaner.
sounds like the fuel sensor inthe fuel tank which means removing tank to replace
I had this problem with my 2002 montana. The fuel gauge inside the tank was defective I went to a garage where and had the gauge changed (you can buy the part from the dealer ) You have to take the fuel tank down and unplug the wires and the fuel lines(you need a special tool to disconnect the fuel lines) Parts and labor cost me $260.00
Sending unit is in the gas tank attached to the fuel pump as an assembly.
drop the gas tank and change the sending unit
Yes, the fuel gauge in a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe is connected to the vehicle's electrical system, which includes fuses. If the fuel gauge is not functioning properly, checking the relevant fuse is a good troubleshooting step. The fuse responsible for the fuel gauge is typically found in the fuse box under the dashboard or in the engine compartment. Always consult the owner’s manual for the specific fuse location and rating.
Yes, there is a fuse for this. It should be labeled INST.
The ground wire for the fuel gauge in a 1998 Suzuki Sidekick Sport with a 1.8-liter motor is typically located at the fuel tank or near the fuel sending unit. It connects to the vehicle's chassis to complete the circuit for the gauge. You can often find it attached to the metal housing of the fuel pump or sending unit. If you're troubleshooting, ensure that the ground connection is secure and free from corrosion.
If the gas gauge in your 1998 Plymouth Breeze stopped working after replacing the fuel pump, it could be due to a few reasons. The fuel pump replacement may have inadvertently disconnected or damaged the wiring or connector for the fuel sending unit, which is responsible for signaling the fuel gauge. Additionally, if the new fuel pump did not come with a compatible sending unit or if there’s an issue with the gauge itself, it could also lead to the gauge malfunctioning. Checking the connections and ensuring the components are compatible would be a good place to start for troubleshooting.
