To identify the model of your Geo Tracker using the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), locate the VIN on the driver's side dashboard or door jamb. The 10th character of the VIN indicates the model year, while the 3rd character reveals the specific model: 'T' for the standard Tracker and 'C' for the convertible version. Additionally, the first three characters (W05) identify it as a Geo vehicle, and you can refer to the VIN decoding charts to determine other specifications. Always consult your owner's manual or a VIN decoder for precise details.

Usually the 10th digit of the VIN number will tell you the year of manufacturing. In the late 2000s they ran out of vin numbers and started using ABC's. If the second "digit" is an A it's a 2010 model, B is a 2011 model, C is 2012 and so on.
