There are many things some big some small but here is a few of them..
1...Using a high grade engine oil
2...Using an oil additive (such as Lucas) that gives extra lubrication and protection to the engines crank and cam bearings.....
3...Change the oil and filter every 3000 miles (using a high grade filter)
4...Check the oil pan gasket for any type of Leaking at each oil change, and replace the gasket if needed...however, remember that even if the leak is very small it still needs replaced,if oil can get out then its possible for water and dirt to get in since the bottom of the engine is constantly splashed by whatever the front wheels go through.
5...Keep the engine properly tuned and timed,an engine that is not running smoothly can place undue wear on the bearings such as with misfires, fouled plugs(dead cylnder),engine run on after ignition is truned off...
6...Keep the correct type and amount of engine coolant in the cooling system so the engine operates at the correct temperatures, also have the cooling system completely flushed and changed every year to avoid deposits from building up in the engine ports and the radiator core and slowing the flow of coolant in the engine..unnecessary heat causes unnecessary engine wear.
7...Randomly check engine belts and pullies to ensure that the belts have the proper tension and that all pullies spin freely (alternatore,AC compressor, powersteering pump, water pump ect.) the crank shaft is what drives all of these units so if the belts are too tight and any of the pullies on the units are worn and do not spin freely enough it will put unnecessary stress on the crank.
(this may only be a small amount of stress like from a steering pump that still works but is in the stages of failing, but over time it can add up)
good lubrication and balance are paramount
use proper oil, do proper oil change intervals, use proper oil filter at proper intervals, never let engine severely overheat.
1. Change your oil. 2. Change your oil. 3. Change your oil. 4. Change your oil.
By changing your oil/filter on a regular basis of at least every 5,000 miles. Also by replacing the Air Filter every 30,000 miles. If the crankshaft is already worn, move up to one weight higher oil. That is really all you can do.
Lack of oil & filter changes, incorrect oil, running low on oil, excessive over revving.
Incorrect Engine Oil, Air filter is clogged and dirt is reaching the bearing liners and journals. Oil pump failure. Clearances between journal and Crankshaft aren't enough to lubricate crank shaft.
4? the ones I can think of are frequent oil and filter changes, not lugging the engine (if a standard transmission vehicle) and if you tow, to not exceed the safe limits and avoid lugging. if this is a used vehicle, you are at the mercy of previous owners. taking care of it now won't cure bad driving habits from before.
Yes, you can refrigerate cooked eggs to extend their shelf life.
No, the biosphere does not extend to the Earth's core. The biosphere refers to the regions of Earth where life exists, primarily encompassing the surface, atmosphere, and parts of the oceans. It is limited to areas where conditions such as temperature, pressure, and the availability of water and nutrients can support living organisms, which excludes the extreme conditions found in the Earth's core.
Yes. By removing air from the packaging around food you extend the life of the food.
to extend the life of the clothing
Yes, you can refrigerate avocados to extend their shelf life, but they should be ripe before refrigeration to prevent chilling injury.
