No. According to the L81 registry, all 1981 Corvettes had an L81 engine. The L82 was also a 350, it just had different specifications.

Yes. Although the L-82 engine was not a Corvette "option" in 1981, I've seen at least one 1981 Corvette with an L-82 motor and that option code was clearly listed on the window sticker. I'm guessing Chevrolet used up the last of its L-82 motors in early production 1981 Corvettes. It did in at least one anyway.
The base engine is the 350ci L48 V8 that puts out 180hp and the optional engine is the 350ci L82 V8 that puts out 210hp.
