Sounds like the engine is not getting enough fuel. I would change the fuel filter first.
If that's not it sometimes a fuel pump on the blink will start to fail as you are going up and down hills. Have someone check the fuel pressure for you. And what just resolved the problem for me was a new set of plugs and wires.
You should also inspect the coilpack for any signs of cracking or 'carbon-tracking', real light tracings around the plug wire connectors - a sure sign the spark isn't always staying inside the wiring.
