P1698 PCM Failure EEPROM Write Denied There is probobly a bad connection on the CCD bus. This usually happens at the TCM which its a 3"x2.5"x1" metal box on the right side of the drivers footwell. I have seen many TPS, CCD BUS, and Trans problems caused by this little bugger. Usually for this code it is a loose or disconnected connector to the TCM.
Trouble code P1698 means: No CCD Messages Received From The TCM
P1698 no bus message from tcm. The engine computer is unable to "talk" to the transmission computer. You need to check the wires between the two.

Code P1698 typically indicates a communication issue between the engine control module (ECM) and the transmission control module (TCM). This can be caused by a faulty wiring harness, poor connections, or a malfunctioning TCM or ECM. Additionally, issues with the vehicle's battery or charging system can contribute to this code. Diagnosing the problem often requires checking the wiring, connectors, and the functionality of the modules involved.
