You probably need spark plug wires and plugs. DO NOT use a feeler gauge, you will ruin the platinum and they will NOT fire. OUT OF THE BOX AND INTO THE ENGINE!!
It is on the throttle body, opposite the cables.
Yes it had a throttle body to control the amount of air getting into the engine.
location of throttle position sensor
Directly below the throttle body.
Right under the throttle cover.
It is located on the throttle body.
a sticking cable at throttle body or a idle air control sensor. check to make sure throttle, is not sticking at throttle plate.
i found it easier to remove the throttle body to access the tps sensor. the screws can be somewhat difficult to loosen due to corrosion and position of the sensor.
On a 2001 Chevy Lumina with a V6 engine, the high-speed idle control is typically managed by the throttle body assembly. The idle air control (IAC) valve, located on the throttle body, regulates airflow and adjusts the engine's idle speed. You can find the throttle body on the intake manifold, near the front of the engine, connected to the air intake system.
all iac valves are located in the throttle body
Should be right by the throttle body.
Some later models, 2001 onwards, don't have an idle control valve. The function is designed into the Electronic Throttle.
