I have a 93 astro and I took news paper and crammed it all the way around then used a couple cans of great stuff (foam) and filled it in the rest of the way. shaved it down then smoothed a little bondo over the surface.
The windows on a Chevy Blazer may not roll down if the power window mechanism has been damaged or broken. This can be repaired through a reputable mechanic.
If nothing is holding the pedal down then the brake light switch is at fault.
I looked up the owner's manual - I also have a 2001 Chevy Astro Van, and there is a setting called resyncronization. If you hold both buttons down, the lock and unlock, for 8 seconds, it will recycle the alarm and synchronize it to the key fob remote. When the alarm goes off, just hit unlock twice like you normally would, and it should be fixed.
