Drive-shaft out of balance?
Bad Universal joint?
Tire / wheel out of balance
# When the tires are new. # When you feel any vibration in the steering wheel that can be attributed to a wheel balance problem.
Drive line vibration, it is possible that your drive shaft/axle are now out of alignment which would cause the vibration. I have the same problem with a 2 inch lift in a 98 Cherokee. I am going to try 2 inch shims (there angled i.e. little triangles) that fit on top of the axle between it and the leaf spring. Hopefully it will fix the problem.
Probably a wheel balance problem or possibly a bent rim.
No way of telling you without knowing what the problem is.
*you might have a problem in the steering column *you may need to replace the flasher fuse in your fuse box.
Balance the tires. That will most often solve the problem. There COULD be other issues, but don't worry about them until you've made certain that the tires are balanced.
it sounds like you need rotors or pads or that you will need both rotors are warped
No, my steering is fine.
If 4x4, replace steering dampner that is a bandaid, is not addressing the real problem. could be worn or bent steering parts, bad ujoints, out of alignment or bent or unbalenced wheel.
I have a '96 jeep grand Cherokee and mine was recalled for a faulty O2 sensor and catalytic convertor. That might be the problem, because after getting those fixed, i get 15 mpg instead of 13.
Are you having a problem with the column getting extremely wobbly? Phil
ignition switch happened on my 94 also that fixed the problem but you have to drop the steering wheel
