What could be wrong if your ac unit cools very slow and after a while it seems to not cool down?

Could be lots of things, but I would check to see if the filter is clean, the A coil is clean and if there is plenty of air coming through the vents. If the A coil is frozen up, it may not be getting enough air flow through it or you could need freon added to the system.
