What could be wrong with my car it will go in park and reverse but wont go in to drive or first or secound what could be wrong with it?
Most likely in some cases 1) if the bolts that hold the transmission filter is loose and is sucking air instead of oil,
2) low in trans/oil
3) if has lots of miles possibility worn out seals and or bands (clutches),
other than that it might be loose or broken ( cable or linkage),
your pump is pumping oil through the system cause you have reverse.
all though Transmission oil pressure test will be need it.
IF you have ECU/ (Electronic Control Unit) that controls the transmission to, then you have to bring it in for diagnosis.

the actual transmission gears are worn. just hold the stick on reverse and do the same for first, cuz honestly, how long do you drive in 1st??
