The symptoms you are describing could be caused by a leaky cylinder head gasket.
First off, drain it back down to where it should be. Oil leaks can be caused by overfilling the oil.

The fluid reservoir needs to be checked first. It possibly may be caused by a bad master cylinder but the most common cause is loss of brake fluid.
