In the fishkeeping world there is no difference. A Fish Tank is an Aquarium. Of course a Tank is simply a container and can be anything from a war machine to a container for petrol on a car.
It is inline between the fuel tank and the drivers door. Usually it is 1/3 way in front of the fuel tank to the drivers door along the frame.

Construction wise, in a live tank PT, both the primary & secondary windings will be placed on top tank. In a dead tank PT, primary & secondary windings will be placed in bottom tank.
