go to auto zone to get your check engine light codes read. When it blinks that means there is more than one problem. Those codes will most likely help you figure out why your car is trying to die. I have a '98 Intrepid as well and the array of problems it has is amazing. Good luck...

OBDII vehicles are not programed to allow this feature anymore..since 1996 to present..scanners only... well i just turned the key off and on 3 times and it shows on the display at odmeter some codes, which i had to buy a book to understand what they mean I thought that you were referring to the Check Engine Light flashing the codes. What codes did you receive on the odometer?
