30 degrees dwell
On a new set of points they should be set at .016 on a 534 engine. This information is from the shop manual for a 63 ford. As the wear block wears down they will be tighter.
If you mean ignition points, no.
how do i set a 327 9 degrees back
My advice would be to set the points at .020" with a feeler gage to get the engine running, and then use a dwell meter to set the dwell after the engine is running.
O-Boy !! The engine has electronic ignition. *** NO POINTS ***
My Chilton book shows that it has electronic ignition ( no points )
Ford hasn't used points since the early 1970's.
.016 to.018 per set or 30 degrees dwell. Each set will have to be set seperately from the other.
Engine back fires because your points are old and when they rub against the lobe it might be dry, causing the points gap to change as the wear fast with no grease. Hope I make sense. Buy a new set of points, grease lobe and set the points
1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 is the firing order of the Ford 534. Rotor turns counterclockwise.
The original story of Mulan was set during the Northern Wei dynasty (386 - 534).
To set the ignition points on a Case 300 tractor, first, ensure the engine is off and cool. Remove the distributor cap to access the points, then rotate the engine until the points are fully open. Use a feeler gauge to measure the gap, which should typically be set to 0.020 inches; adjust the points as necessary. Finally, reassemble the components and double-check the gap before starting the engine.
