It the noises are a banging noise like a back fire, it is an indication of the timing slipping and the engine doesn't know when to fire. If the noises are more mechanical then there could be an internal problem. Check all fluids to insure that they are the right colors and aren't milky or frothy. This would indicate severe internal engine problems.
The condition may possibly be piston slap.
why does my 1991 Chevy lumina that when going up a hill or when it reaches approximatly 65 mph starts hestitating, when cars get older they do that.
No you can not , That is what makes and keeps the engine running
Lumina
NO!!!
I will help but I need to know exactly whats happening, the noises it makes/etc...
Had the same problem with my 98 Grand Prix, the problem turned out to be a bad inner tie rod end.
I would answer if you provided the year and engine you are talking about. Chevy makes lots of engines. 4, 5, 6, & 8 cylinders. Want to try again and list this information.
Soft noises are when like you whisper or do something that barley makes any noise ya know.Ex: When a baby is sleeping, you would want to whisper and not make ANY noises or the baby will cry.
It could be a # of things, You need to have the engine scaned with a engine scanner. Some parts stores will do that for free.
That would be a matter of opinion. My opinion would be in favor of Chevrolet.
We need to know which engine you have, it makes a difference.
