I'm no expert on this but you might try getting a new key, try local locksmiths in the phone book, they can test your key and ask them how much for a new one, a good locksmith might give you a good deal, here we have a guy that copies keys for $20 where big car lots want at least $100. =( And they usually test your key for free, this guy did and its not whats wrong with my car apparently. He thinks its a broken wire on my car is why its not recognizing it. So apparently this passkey thing is very complicated. =( I have to save up and find a good mechanic. Ne ways good luck.
