NO WAY! cedar shavings can hurt your guinea pig's respiratory system and kill it! You can if you want, but it is not recommended. It can give your guinea pig(s) upper respiratory problems. I have a guinea pig that is 2 years old from a friend. He has suffered some damage. He can really smell so when i give him food i have to put it in his bowl or near his whiskers. Sometimes when he tries to smell, he snorts. I do not recommend using cedar wood shavings. Not even the Pine/Cedar. That's what the 2 year old guinea pig had. I'm glad he's still alive. The one that I like best is pine because i like the smell. Have fun with your piggies!
