It is the "Check Tire" light. If you don't have low tire pressure, perhaps you hit a hard bump, our 2004 Monterey van does this once a while. Run a system check on the dash and hit Reset when it comes to the tire choice 7 it will clear.
An issue relating the transmission.
On a 2001 Mercury Sable : That's your " CHECK TRANSAXLE " ( transmission ) warning light The warning light is located in the bottom of the tachometer on the left side . If the light stays on take the vehicle in for servicing
