The AC relay in a Ford Escort controls the operation of the air conditioning system by supplying power to the AC compressor when the system is activated. When the AC is turned on, the relay closes, allowing electrical current to flow to the compressor, enabling it to compress the refrigerant and circulate it through the AC system. If the relay fails, the AC system may not function properly, leading to issues such as lack of cooling.
It's on the firewall on the passenger side.
Replace the fuse and the relay called the CCRM (Constant Control Relay Module).
