I am nearly 100% certain it is NOT in the interior console.
It is likely the electronics you see mounted on the top of the transmission under the hood, drivers side, right where the cable bolts onto the lever. There is a bulkhead there with 2-3 plugs going into it. This is what you are probably looking for.
It is in the PRNDL switch on top of the trans. It sends a signal to the ecm.
