The 1999 Chevy Metro typically comes with a 1.0L or 1.3L inline-4 engine. If you're considering a replacement, it's best to look for the same engine type to ensure compatibility. However, some enthusiasts have successfully swapped in engines from other small cars, though such modifications may require additional adjustments. Always consult with a mechanic or automotive expert for the best options.
1995-2000 should all be the same
Chevy did not build a Malibu in 1995.
Will a 1997 blazer what work on a 1999 blazer????? If your talking engine, transmission, or running gear than yes. It is all the same.
No it will not. The 1990 engine is all together different and yes it will bolt in But it will not run. You need a VORTEC engine from the year 1996 through 1999.
No, 1995 is a one year only engine. I was going to look at a 95 engine to put in my 96 but found out it wouldn't work. You may be able to get it to work but if so it would be with lots of modification & I don't think you can anyway.
NO. You need a VORTEC engine from the year 1997 to 1999
No it will not even come close to bolten up to the 96 engine. Chevy REDESIGNED the engine block and the transmissions. Nothing below late 1999 will enterchange with anything from late 1999 and up.
Yes it will fit right in there and hook right up.
no
No it will not fit. In late 1999 GM. redesigned the engine blocks and transmissions.sorry, won't work.
It depends on which engine your trying to swap. The 2.2L OHV engine will work in a 99 from a 2002 because it was the same engine. But if it's a Z24 model the 2.2L DOHC engine will not fit a 99 because the 99 used the old 2.4L Quad 4 in the Z24 models and some LS sedan models.
Both use the 4.3 V6 and 4L60E transmission (assuming they're both auto). They'll work.
