89 octane (mid-grade) will run the newer engines just fine, the low-grade shouldn't do any damage and the premium will just waste your money.
you could but it's a waste of money as there are no benefits of doing so.
they use 3 different gas tanks on the charger and the largest is a 19 gal. and it's used on the V8's, the 3.5 is a 18 gal. and the 2.7 is a 17 gal tank.
