Could be many possibilities, tell us your symptoms.
There is no reset switch on that vehicle, you probably have a bad fuel pump.
Bad plug, bad wire, bad distributor cap or bad valve.
You have a bad electrical connection somewhere. Sorry but, without more info not much we can do.
Bad halogen bulb
A bad engine temp sensor can do that.
You can tell a bad valve by doing a compression test.

check for engine codes- it could be that there is a bad o2 sensor or something.
Probably a bad fuel pump. Have the fuel pressure tested.
If it is a standard transmission S10 maybe they are talking about the "throwout bearing" which is part of the clutch operation that can go bad.
