If your truck is a 1/2 ton then you need a 96 or 97 4L60E transmission. If it is a 3/4 ton then you need a 96 or 97 4L80E transmission. These are the ONLY 2 years that will work in you 97 model. You also need to tell them if it is a 4-wheel drive are not. Tell them the engine size too. That should take care of it.
Not sure what the buck is on a Chevy pickup, need more info.
What about it? Need more info.
I use dexron 11 The transmission dip stick should have that info written on it.
The Silverado name has been used both for a trim package for the C/K pickups and as a standalone model. Several transmissions were available during this time, as were engine options. We'd need much more info about your vehicle, including the model year and WHICH V8 engine it has - if you end up mating a 4L60E to a 454, you'll be replacing another transmission.
1/15/09 ---- it depends on the year of the truck. Need more info. 1985? 2008?
It would depend on which parts. Give us more info.
On my 1993 K1500 Silverado, it is behind the heater/ac blower assy. However, I can not find any info on how to get the assy apart, or where it is connected to the dash switch.
Need to know the year and what size truck you have. You will need to ask your question again with that info. THANK YOU.
All that info can be found in the owners manual.
Need more info. Would like to know where this hole is.
Need more info. It could be a 1/2, 3/4 or 1 ton pickup. It could have one of several engines and it could be an automatic or standard transmission and it could be 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive with a variety of differential gear ratios. It would be safe to say it could get between 8 to 18 mpg.
It would depend on the engine, transmission and rear differential ratio it has, need more info.
