On my 97 Dakota sport with the 318 the spark plug gap is .040. Im pretty sure it is the same as yours but if you want to make sure try opening up the hood and looking at the sticker that located on the underside of the hood. Otherwise drive on down to your local auto parts store and ask them what the gap is
