Its a code to given to your car radio or vehicle. Some vehicles have a Keypad on the outside of your vehicle that can be used to lock and unlock the doors. Your users manual will have the directions on how to do this. In other vehicles, most notably GM products with the theftlock system which prevents theft of your vehicles head unit (it may go by a different name). This system when the radio loses power for any reason (e.g., the fuse blows or the battery is disconnected) the specific code to your radio must be re-entered. This is a slight inconvenience for many, however this makes your radio less valuable to thieves.
