Intercooler just refers to the radiator type device that cools the air that goes into the turbecharger.
2.5L, 4 Cylinder In-line, Turbocharged & Intercooled Diesel
A turbocharged and intercooled version of that engine, rated 190 horsepower. Well i believe for a manual =195hp automatic=180hp
The choice between a common rail and a turbocharged intercooled diesel engine depends on the application and performance requirements. Common rail systems provide better fuel atomization and flexibility in fuel injection timing, improving efficiency and reducing emissions. Turbocharging enhances power output and performance by forcing more air into the combustion chamber, while intercooling helps manage intake temperatures for optimal performance. Ultimately, a combination of both technologies often yields the best efficiency and power in modern diesel engines.
A special high-performance model known as the MAZDASPEED6 was made made from 2006-2007. It had a turbocharged, intercooled version of the 2.3L 4-cylinder used in the MAZDASPEED3.
"GT" stands for "Grand Touring" and "TDI" stands for "Turbo Diesel Intercooled" TDI actuly stands for Turbo Direct Injection Turbocharged Direct Injection (TDI) is the name VW use to describe their modern turbocharged diesel engines.
Either a 300tdi which is a 2.5 litre turbo diesel intercooled engine or a 4.2 litre petrol engine.
the 1001 horse power buggati veyron has a quad-turbocharged and intercooled DOHC 64-valve 16 cylinder engine with aluminum blocks, heads and also direct fuel injection costs $1,250,000 and produces a massive 6000 rpms and goes 252 mph. this is the fastest road car on the planet.
6 cylinder, "b" series, turbocharged
As an engine turns it sucks air in, which draws fuel with it. In a turbo engine a fan (turbocharger) forces more air into the engine, which draws fuel with it. The more fuel and air that goes into the engine the more power is produced. A turbocharged engine can produce perhaps double the power that a non turbocharged engine produces.
Good on gas, not much power unless turbocharged.
I have seen anything from a buick turbocharged V-6 to a 500+ hp ls corvette engine
For BMW cars"td" stands for "turbodiesel"while"tds" stands for "intercooled turbodiesel".
