Failsafe mode on a Ford F-150 is a safety feature that activates when the vehicle's engine control module detects a serious issue, such as a malfunction in the engine or transmission. In this mode, the truck limits its performance to prevent further damage, often restricting acceleration and maintaining a lower speed. This allows the driver to safely navigate the vehicle to a service location for diagnosis and repair. If activated, it's advisable to consult a mechanic to address the underlying issue.
ETC engine failsafe mode means that the rotations per minute of the engine are being limited. This is also known as limp mode.
