The spanner light is a service light
its your service light
needs a service
you are low in oil and you need a service
Northing to worry about, indicates it time for a service.
this means that your van is due a service.
Oil Can = Fill up oil, low oilSpanner = Service needed
Assuming this is a mk6 transit (2001>) this is the service light. it comes on at approx every 15,000 miles to indicate that service is due.
A Spanner in the Works was created on 1995-05-29.
On my Renaut van it means it is ready for a service. It will come on after a year or a set mileage. As i don't own a transit i can not be 100% sure but I would imagine they would all be the same.
To reset the yellow spanner light on the dashboard of a Ford Transit van, first ensure that any underlying issues have been addressed. Then, turn the ignition key to the "On" position without starting the engine. Press the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal fully and hold them for about 10 seconds until the light goes off. Finally, turn off the ignition and restart the van to confirm the reset.
turn ignition to position 2..press brake and throttle together for 15 seconds..light will flash..release and switch off...done!
