Proper way to torque them is to buy new bolts and do them up via instructions that come with head gasket ( they are torque to yield - from mem 30 ftlb then 180 degrees more , but that's just from mem ). If you are not using new bolts you are better off to just do them to about 40ft lb, 50 , then 65ft lb .Not much use toqueing to yield unless you use new bolts...
