With a points ignition the gap should be .035
AC-Delco.
No they will not but speaking as a repair shop owner i can tell you that the car maker new what was best for performance. Your best bet is to stay with AC Delco.
Use any platinum plug brands really don't matter

The spark plug is the source of ignition for the fuel-air mixture in the cylinder .
ACDelco R45S conventional spark plugs for an original ignition system.
Use AC/Delco spark plugs. The wire choices are numerous. Ask for OEM type plug wires unless you are racing this vehicle. In that case ask for Accel performance plug wires.
A 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer that has a 4.2 liter engine will have a spark plug gap of .044 inches. The best spark plugs for this vehicle are iridium spark plugs.
A/C delco
Well I would need more info but when it dies the carb if it is a carbed engie could be starving for fuel. It would be best if you posted what year and engine size it is and if it is fuel injected or carbed. when it dies do you still have spark at the plug ect....
I would only use what the manufacture of a car put in them from the beginning and that is AC Delco. Rest assured that you will NOT have a driveability problem with them.
spark plugs must be 'gaped' to perform correctly. In doing this you make sure the the electrodes are just the right distance away from each other for the plug to fire at it's best. With gapless spark plugs there is no gaping necessary because there are two ground electrodes. Some people think this helps the gap last longer thereby increasing the life of the spark plug. They are also easyer to install because you don't have to check the gap.
