water pump will sit on engine with lower radiator hose inlet to the left, make sure you dont have a "long water pump", it wont work, 350 is a "short water pump"
The most obvious symtom would be overheating of the engine.
Check water pump and pump gasket.
Drain the water from your Chevrolet 5.7 liter engine cooling system. Remove the water pump return hose. Remove the water pump belt. Remove the water pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new water pump.

easy answer is... Can you stick your finger between the timing cover and the back of the water pump?? no= short yes= long
The year would help because you can go with either the short water pump or the long water pump design.
Yes it is, as long as the 350 pump is not a late model pump.
the water pump seal is worn out you need a new water pump
Yes, the water pump and alternator from a 1979 350 V8 can generally be bolted onto a 1970 350, as they share similar design characteristics and mounting points. However, there may be slight variations in hardware and accessory brackets, so it's advisable to check for compatibility and possibly use the original brackets from the 1970 engine. Additionally, ensure that the water pump type (short or long) matches the engine's configuration for proper fitment.
I am sorry but there is no such thing as an incline pump on the 350 An in-line fuel pump is normally mounted on the passenger side front of the engine under the exhaust manifold
Yes
