For stock suspension a 30 inch should fit & possibly even 31 although you might get some rubbing on larger bumps or sharper turns. There are small things that can be done like helper springs that can boost a little lift. You could also put in a short body lift, but that can be a pain cause you have to get all the body mounts loose & even with soaking with a good penetrating oil, they usually do not like coming off- plus I also do not like the look of the body likts cause they leave a gap between the frame & bottom of the body. ALso it can cause some head aches if you have to also raise the radiator or other parts. So bootm line is a 30 inch should clear fine without any mods.

I was told I could fit 32" tires under my 2001 sahara. Of course, you can do a 2" spacer lift for only $100
