You shouldn't start by pulling the radio. The repair manual says there's a card in the glovebox (it's raining so I won't go out to see if I have a card in my glovebox).
I found this list and for me, and my 2004 Forenza, the first one worked:

I'll have to remember this code every time I disconnect the battery.
After reviewing this forum, I'm sorry I didn't get a Chevy. What a maintenance nightmare.
code 5241
5241
Radio Code is 5241
1165
The code came with your car. The tiny metal number that came on the same keyring as your keys has this unique number.
The code is 1165
the code or the 2004 verona is 6361 just turn it on type it in and it will work.
To reset the radio code for a 2004 Suzuki Verona, you typically need to turn on the ignition and the radio. If the radio displays "CODE" or "LOCK," you'll need to enter the correct code, which is usually found in the owner's manual or on a card provided at the time of purchase. If you don’t have the code, you may need to contact a Suzuki dealership with your vehicle's VIN for assistance. After entering the correct code, the radio should function normally.
Trouble code P0722 means:Output speed sensor circuit no signal
You need to call the dealer with the radio srl# and they can give you the code
Trouble code P2279 means: Intake air leak
My past experience was to call Suzuki with your vin#
