Don't know what it is supposed to be but I had mine checked because I thought that I had one low. All 6 cylinders were between 145 and 150 psi and my engine is in good shape. I turned out that one of my spark plug leads was leaking. I do know that all cylinders should be within about 10 - 15psi of each other.
The spark plug gap is .054 inch Another fellow did a compression test on his 1991 or ? and his lowest cylinder was 145 PSI and his highest cylinder was 150 PSI It is the difference between the lowest and highest cylinders, so his engine was in good shape.
What is the cylinder compression on a 1991 Ford Ranger with a 2.9?
100-125psi
You may have compression on any cylinder where the valves happen to be closed, but you will not have compression on all cylinders. 1991 Sable does not have a 305 engine.
bleed it the same way u bleed the brakes
it is located on the firewall under the brake booster
The TDC is when the number one cylinder is at the top or top dead center of the compression.
what side is the number one cylinder? is it the right front?
It varies from one engine to the next but, what you want to see is that all the cylinders compression readings are within 10% of each other.
pistons are worped
From 1991 to 1995 the only engine available in the Ford Explorer was the 4.0 liter OHV ( over head valve ) V6 - six cylinder engine
To bleed the hydraulic system for the clutch slave cylinder, there is a fitting on the drivers side of the transmission
