Many people have not yet had theyre questions answered on the firing order of a straight six. My brother owns a 1984 Nissan/Datsun Maxima and it has the same engine as the 280zx. The firing order is, 1-4-5,2-3-6, this way the engine stays completely balanced at all times, and has a high power output.
yes
The cylinders are numbered from front to back 1-2-3-4-5-6,,,,th firing order on the cap is counterclockwise,,,1-5-3-6-2-4
Hi, according to my manual, the firing order is the same for each of these model years for the 280zx. 1979,1980,1981 and 1982. The firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4. The black terminal on the distributer cap is is the #1 spark plug. Then going counter clockwise you should be able to find each plug wire that leads to the # plug you are looking for. I hope this is helpful and good luck.

I can't provide images directly, but you can find a fuel system diagram for a 1982 Nissan 280ZX in the vehicle's service manual or online automotive forums dedicated to vintage Nissan models. The diagram typically includes components like the fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel injectors, and lines connecting them.
