225x45x17 approximates the diameter of the factory and picks up two tire sizes of width over factory 16" wheel and tire combination. A larger tire wiil fit but you will affect your speedometer as well as your performance! A larger diameter tire will affect your cars performance just like a lower numerical final drive ratio which will reduce the torque or power multiplication from the engine to the wheels. Plus a larger tire/wheel combination typically weighs more and all that weight is unsprung weight further affecting performance even more than sprung weight (your cars body is sprung weight) as they act like very large flywheels! Slow to accelerate when not spinning and slow to slow down when spinning fast. So the net net is 225x45x17 is a safe bet. Going larger is very possible but then you gotta worry about rim width and backspacing even more. Plus bigger will likely only cost you $ in gas and performance not to mention the cost of the cost of the larger wheel tire combination.
