The Dodge Intrepid does not have rear struts. This automobile has rear shocks and springs. The shocks can be removed by removing the retaining bolts on the top and bottom of the shock. Reverse the process to install the new shocks.
Go to Autozone.com, register, and they have all the specs for your car. It's a complicated process that involves removing the timing belt and removing most of the accessories (IE:alternator, power steering pump....)from front of engine. GOOD LUCK!
The line probably goes from the transmission to the radiator. The engine isn't involved in the process of cooling the transmission fluid. Replacement would be as simple as removing the old one and installing a new one.
