The Horse power depends on the size of the engine. An example would be a 1987 Chevy Silverado with a 5.0L engine has 305 horse power, the 5.7L has 350 horse power, that is stock I do believe that Wikipedia does have GM engine size in litres on one the posts if u run a search. I would suggest trying that, because I'm not sure if the 79 K20 came with different engine size options and if it did what they'd be my best guess is they most likely came with the 5.0L(305) or the 5.7L(350) and 8.0L(454).

The factory numbers are 125hp for the 5.7 of that year (350). Horsepower and cubic inches are not dependent on one another.
