Dunno if it's any help, but on my 93 model it was 125 INCH pounds. No sequence was listed so I criss-crossed in an alternating pattern.
The 1997 Mercury Cougar 4.6 liter engine intake manifold torque sequence should begin at each end of the manifold. Keep moving towards the center and alternating from and to end.
Intake bolts should be torqued to 35 ft lbs in the appropriate sequence. There should be 12 total "intake" bolts
If you have to ask that question you probably should not attempt the job your self.
Under the intake manifold. Or should I say part of it. be very careful taking the unit apart .
PROPER TIMIMNG SHOULD BE LISTED ON THE INTAKE MANIFOLD PROPER TIMIMNG SHOULD BE LISTED ON THE INTAKE MANIFOLD PROPER TIMIMNG SHOULD BE LISTED ON THE INTAKE MANIFOLD
The firing order should be embosed on the intake manifold. On the top of it close to the front of the engine viewable just by looking at it from above.
from the intake manifold.
located on the intake manifold just follow the upper radiator hose to the engine should be 2 bolts holding the thermostat housing down.
should be on the exhaust manifold
It should be on the front of the intake manifold directly above and behind the water pump.
They (2ea.)are in the intake. The intake manifold will need to be removed to get to them. The wire harness and intake manifold gasket should both be replaced when reassembling.
It depends on which engine. For the 4.3 V6 it is 6 1 2 3 4 5. The firing order should be stamped on the intake manifold.
