I have a 2003 Saturn l-300 with a warning sign with a wrench in it, what dose that mean?

The V6 uses a timing belt. The 4 cylinder uses a timing chain.
It sounds like your "Timing Belt" broke. Have it checked, if it's broken it should cost around $200 to have it replaced on your six cylinder L300.
If it is a 6 cylinder it will cost upwards of $300.00 because you have to remove the intake to get to the spark plugs..
