I have a 2004 GMC Sierra extended cab, 4x4, short bed truck with the 5.3 (5.4?) V8. Stock ( With no special extras ) the truck came from the factory able to tow 8800 lbs. Mine was built with the 'Tow Package' and is capable of 10,300 lbs.
