I have a 1990 gmc vandura 2500 conversion van with the 350 v8 5.7 litre engine. According to the tag found in the glove box, at the front between the two front seats, it has a max towing capacity of 6600lbs. I am currently towing a trailer that is 6200lbs with no problems at all. An RV dealership told me that my 89 g2500 (non-conversion) had a towing capactiy of 7500lbs when I had the brake controler installed. My trailer is 5000lbs and the van tows it well, you know it's there (especially going uphill) but the drivetrain never has to struggle, just has to work harder. Make sure you have an aux cooler for your transmission and a heavy duty radiator installed prior to towing.
Standard is 22 gallons.
The ECM on the Vandura 2500 is under the Driver's seat.

The coolant capacity of a 1988 GMC Vandura 2500 is approximately 16 quarts (or about 4 gallons) when including the radiator and the engine. However, this can vary slightly depending on the specific engine configuration and any modifications that may have been made. Always check the owner's manual or a repair guide for the most accurate information for your specific vehicle.
The towing capacity is 5000 lbs.
My 93' vandura has a 5.7 liter 350cubic inch engine.
I just drove from Ohio to Arizona with a 1989 GMC 2500 and averaged 15.5 mpg.
