If the climate control on a 2003 Trailblazer will not switch from feet to head vents, try changing it to defroster then back to head. The mode button on the dual climate control model can only be switched from face/feet to feet and then to defrost. The feet and head vents worked at the same time.
Mode switch is for the climate control. It allows you to direct the airflow from your feet, to the dash vents, defrost etc.
If the air vents of the Chevy trailblazer 2004 are not blowing air, have the fuel pump checked.
When you switch the control to direct air through the dash vents, the HVAC system redirects airflow away from the defrost vents. The system uses a series of blend doors to control airflow direction, and if the defrost setting is not activated, those doors remain closed, preventing air from flowing through the defrost vents. Therefore, air is channeled exclusively to the dash vents instead.

The issue of cold air coming from the driver side vents while hot air comes from the passenger side in a 2004 TrailBlazer is likely due to a malfunction in the vehicle's blend door actuator. This component controls the flow of air between the heater core and the A/C evaporator, and if it is stuck or malfunctioning, it can result in uneven temperature distribution. Additionally, a problem with the climate control system or a coolant leak could also contribute to this temperature discrepancy. Checking the blend door actuator and ensuring the climate control system is functioning properly can help resolve the issue.
The air of your Chevy trailblazer 2004 blow out of the front vents when the air conditioner is on because the air condition is faulty and it needs repair.
The mode door actuator has failed. We have instructions for repair at www.trailvoy.com
If your 03 Trailblazer blows heat out of the back vents when set on AC sometimes, it could be because of a faulty blower motor resistor block.
Probably the mode door actuator. We have instructions on the replacement procedure on our enthusiasts forum at www.trailvoy.com
The climate control is not operating for the passenger side. Check to insure the physical controls work, and the diverter vents are opening to let the cool air to the passenger side.
To remove center air vent s a t20 tool is needed. Unscrew, climate control unit and compartment. After it is pulled away, their vents are exposed. To remove air vents unscrew bolts and pop out of place.
