Most likely cause is a failed rear axle speed sensor. It is located on the top of the rear axle. Without checking codes it wil be hard to know for sure.

If the speedometer and brake lights aren't working then you should change the fuse. If that doesn't work then check the electrical system associated with your Heritage.
If the abs and check engine lights are on there is a problem. Both computers should have codes stored in there memories. Have the codes read. You can then diagnose the cause.
