For the pilot episode Max drove a Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet. In seasons 1-4 he drove a red 1965 Sunbeam Tiger. The only exception being in the opening title sequences for season 3 & 4 he was seen driving a blue VW Karman Ghia however he never used that car for any "in episode" driving.
As a sidenote in season 5 Max switched to a gold 1969 Opel GT.
