Well did it go for aswim, or is it really thirsty. If it has a carburetor on the engine the float is probably stuck so it's getting more fuel then it can burn. If it is fuel injected then it is probably electoral.

If you do not see it mounted between the fuel tank and the engine, then it is mounted in the fuel tank. Common on the Dodge Neon.
